yea im looking at the ricochet plates for my 2012 the only problem is they don't have the black finish yet for it....

Why would you want a black finish? They are going to have aluminum colored scratches and marks all over them as soon as they touch anything that the skids are designed to protect against. It you are dead set on black ones, I believe someone makes poly ones that are black.

tru guys didn't even think about that i just like the way the stock skid plate looks on black.... i didn't want to change the look of the bike in the front

Does anyone know how the HONDA brand skip plate for the 2012 compares to the aftemarket offerings? The AP skid plate off ebay has at least 1 neutral rating for fit.

I am the one who posted anything bad about AP, But it was not due to the quality of their products.....it was due to me trying to help the owner save a small fortune by beta testing one a winch plate for my '09 for him and he renigged on me ...the Guy is an AZZ!

but makes Quality products and yes I would buy from the company again.....but h3ll would freeze over before I had personal dealings with the owner!

also for the record AP & Ricochet plates are the same thickness

AP is press stamped! 1 or 10,000 their going to be the same every time!

Ricochet is welded by hand (being a welder of many years to me this is a disadvantage, due to the possibility of human error) and it just flat looks Cheezy (to me)

I havent seen anyone talk about the strong made skid plates. Do yall know anyone that has tried them? They have them in black and aluminum

Ricochet plates are only welded at the front so it curves with the angles of the front of the frame bars (for 2005-2011's). Not sure about the 2012 set.

yes they are......Their welding something thats don't have to be broken

AP is press stamped to do the same thing, No welds hugs the frame just as good but with much better alignment

LMAO.......I'm not trying to sell AP skids to anybody but the 2 processes are like day and night differences!

I say buy what makes "you" happy
