New to the forum. I am researching the new 2012 Foreman as I am looking to purchase a new atv in the spring. I currently have a 2007 Suzuki 400 4x4 auto with 25" interco reptiles. I really like my tires. They wear well, ride well, and get great traction for the type of riding I do. If I get a foreman id like to run the same tires or bighorns on it. Now, my suzuki takes the same size wheels as a foreman, but i'd kind of like a larger tire. So heres my question: Will 26" bighorns or reptiles at 27-30lbs each cause any problems with a 2012 Foreman electric shift with power steering?

na, you should be good to go, you could probably run 27s without even thinking about it

you shouldn't have to do anything to accomodate the 27's...and welcome to the forum.

Thanks! The main thing that concerns me is the weight affecting the power steering. I really like the setup and the way it works, but I cant help but think that a heavy tire would be hard on that electric motor.

Thanks guys! I live in Eastern Kentucky and the fall and winter keep the trails kind of sloppy. I ride mostly trails but like to get muddy every now and then, however I have to ride gravel or pavement to really get anywhere. I have found that the best tires available to me locally are the reptiles. They wear great and get better mud traction than bighorns. Wish I could find a Bias ply tire with 1-1/8" lugs that wore good on pavement. The reptiles have a 1" lug. I cant get radial outlaws or outlaw MST's here. Any good suggestions on a semi-aggressive trail tire that will get as good of traction and wear as well as my reptiles? Perhaps something lighter?

how about swamp-lites? i don't know about how good they wear on pavement but i know they are a great trail tire. and they have about a 1-1/8" of tread depending on the size. they have great traction. if they wear anything like my vampires then they should be good for ya. my vampires have been on my rancher for 7 yrs and about 3k miles. and still have about 75% tread if not more.

The reptile is like the radial brother of the swamp lite. Alot of guys around here have the swamp lites, but pavement eats them fast. heres a pic of my reptiles in case any of you have never seen them. Next to stock Maxxis 25's
