Yes the WARN product was more, but it had a better warranty than others and a solid name. I certianly didn't want to deal with any Harbor freight potential junk.

Buying the '12 FM was $$ enough, so there was no point skimping on the winch and not letting it be the machine i was after.

as it's been said before ... “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

Afterall I could have purchased a used Polaris with a HF winch and still have money left to over to fix it twice. TJR

I paid $295.47 for my New Warn XT25 & also bought a 4 year NO Fault warranty $32, and got a $50 rebate so the whole deal was under $300...Not Bad for Quality

Wish u luck and if u can post some pics I'm also planning on installing mine soon, haven't had the time.
you are correct I used the old wiring from the Junk promark winch and made my new Warn a 3000lb pull winch......as it is the SAME winch!

The only differences in the XT25 & XT30 is the sticker on it.....One uses 6Ga wire & the other uses 8Ga wire!

this would work on any winch as their only electric motors....BUT NOTE it's more draw on the battery & Charging system also!
