Default Sunk my foreman

so i went out today. sunk my 07 foreman 500. i got it pulled outta the hole. drained as much water as i could. got it started, rode it to the truck. got it home and started tearing her down. i didn't get any water past the carb. i have no mud or anything like that in the throat of the carb. no debris got past the airfilter. my motor oil, front diff, rear diff got water in them. i drained them. then put the drain plugs back in. poured diesel in the front diff/rear diff. spun them and then drained them till they was flushing clear diesel. i put 2qts. of diesel in the crankcase. pulled the plug and spun it over to circulate it. drained it. it was very milky. i pulled the oil cooler lines and flushed them with compressed air. then i repeated it. in other words i flushed the motor twice. now she's draining out of drain she has. tomorrow i plan to put oil in it run it then change it. what else should i do. i'd really like some help on this one. never done this before

SS,
sounds like you covered al your bases, and glad you flushed the oil cooler, your the first Ive ever read that took the time to do that, guess its that Harley training kicking in.

maybe one of the real Wrench's will pop in with more info, cant think of anything else myself.....and I dont think the Diesel should hurt the clutchs either.

Di- lectric grease the connections again. Check and clean the front and rear breaks. If debris is in the drums, the shoes will seize.

Man that sucks!!! It almost look like u were trying to do that. Thats a deep little hole. When u get it back running try going forward, keep the front end up and I bet u can make it.

Sounds like your doing the right thing. Once you get it back running do these things also...

Take out your airbox and pull all of the grommets
Clean everything really good, then silicone all your grommets into the box, outside and in
Your crankcase vent is on the lower left of the airbox, what I did is cut that aluminum tube, and spliced it and put a hose with a few loops in it. Silicone that up to
Run your carb drain up high (or plug it). This will help your bike if your pipe is under
Idle your carb up some, mines idled up so much that it makes it hard to shift sometimes
Also dielectric grease the CRAP out of your spark plug!

Other then this stuff, make a taller riser lol. No I have never sunk my bike, I have had my bike that deep before and I don't like it. For some reason my bike don't like the pipe being under.

It looked like your bike tried to float some and it threw your balance off. How much water got in your airbox? Do you think water got into your engine through the carb? It probably got in the engine through the crankcase vent. It's really low in the airbox

It sounds like you are doing everything correctly. Flush the motor a few times with oil and you should be good to go again. Remember to change the oil filter and clean the air filter. You can check the electrical connectors just to make sure they didn't get water in them but most likely they didn't.
