I have a 2008 Foreman 500 ES with PS. I bought it new in 2009 and have a whopping 16 hours on it and just a bit over 80 miles ridden so far. I had Yamaha's before so I am not too familiar with the Honda's. Is it time for me to take it in and have the Honda boys do the initial service on the bike? I am not familiar with everything they do. I always changed the oil and filters twice a year on the Yamaha when I lived in Alaska but haven't done anything to this one yet.
Is it time for any service? Do I need to pay the $$ to have the Honda mechs do the work? Or should I just change the oil, filters, and spark plug? Thanks |

Yea you're gonna want to take it in for atleast the first service. They recomend changing the oil and having the valves adjusted at 100 miles. Then after that its every 500 miles for oil change and I believe valve adjustment is 1000 miles but I could be wrong. I dont know oil change is at 500 though. After you see you 1st 500 mile oil change you'll be sick for draining that next to new oil out lol! I do mine at 1000 miles unless I play alot in the water.
