Where do I find the manufacturing date on an 09 Foreman? Or how do I decode it from the VIN?

It should be on the front of the frame behind the bumper, cant remember what side but its there.

Welcome to the forum. The 10th digit of the VIN is the year of the machine (9=2009). Honda has been moving the sticker with the year on it, it's either behind the front bumper on the frame rail or on the right rear of the machine on the frame rail (I can't remember for positive on that machine).

Yep, the vin is on the frame behind the front bumper pretty much right in the middle. I also located the model sticker under the right rear fender.

But I'd like to know when the ATV was manufactured (build date?). Is that the date on the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin above the VIN on the left side? Is this date stamped anywhere on the ATV itself?

I think it will show production year only. Not sure.

The sticker on the rear of the machine will have the closest "build date" that you can get. It will have the month and year on it, just looked at a 420 on the showroom (2010) and it was built 11/09.
