Someimes when the bearings go south enough they eat up the Bearing stop and thats what got me.
Ya see, When I first bought my bike I was messing around with the rear brakes and noticed that my rear left tire had some srious play to it and decided to tighten up the hub nut. Well in order to get wobble to go away I had to tighten it so much that it way past the holes in the axle where you put the cotter pin in. A few weeks later I bought the Allballs racing bearings and while I was tearing into into my Ruby I remembered that while doing the same procedure on an old 85 250 sx 3 wheelerand that there was bearing stops that were in pieces because the PO had let them go!( and thats how I ended up with it ) and realized that my left side was totally missing it. So Yeah, You are probably missing the bearing stop.

I agree with everyone else. Also generally when it comes to bearings and tedious parts like that i try to break and buy oem. But you always have the chance of getting a "peach" no matter what it is. But id really be curious as to what the mechanic says also

Well I still haven't heard back from the mechanic on my foreman. Only reason I bought All Balls anyway is because they are double sealed. The OEM parts weren't except for the outer seal which is separate from the bearing altogether. All Balls is the only other brand I have seen. If I need to get OEM can they be bought sealed??

or I should say Honda makes them, as I watched their mechanic take them out of a Honda box and had Honda on the plastic & was sealed he had to cut the bag open! |

The left rear wheel bearing is a sealed bearing from the factory. Like mentioned earlier if the hub stop is missing the hub will put extreme pressure on the bearing causing it to fail. The factory parts are cheap for the left rear side and I very seldom replace the brake side as it's a double bearing and holds up much better.

its a orifice that stops the bearing at a certain depth thus Not allowing the bearing to be located in the wrong place and tearing up my whole rear differential or just ask him how long hes been working on.....well anything! and if he says I wouldn't....hehehe
