From what I've read, on a ATV you only need Seafoam in your fuel (or oil if you need it there too) to help clean your carb etc.

On vehicles you use methods to apply the Seafoam directly into the carb etc, do you not need to do this on a ATV?

If you do, how should I directly inject it?

Seafoam will only work on older units...not really needed on newer units...same effect can be had on nower units by adding in some carb cleaner to the gas. If you really think your carb is all fowled up...go ahead and add some...

The way I see it is if your carb is that bad that you think you have to add it directly to your carb, you might as well just take it off and clean it the right way. I only use seafoam if the bike is running erratically due to water or dirt in the carb, its not a miracle cleaner but I have seen it work.

I run it if bike sits for a while and doesn't get any action, or if I know it's going to be sitting.....also in motorcycle's, jet-ski's, car, and weedeaters

So what is the best way to use it? Gas and oil? how much do you put in? I have heard some people say drain the entire tank and try to make the bike run on only sea foam and it will clean it out good.

I put staybil in my tank after every fuel up, it helps on the carbureted models if you fill up with the ethanol fuels which is almost everywhere around here now. It prevents the methanol from eating up the seals in the carb.

you add 1oz of sea foam to 1 gallon of fuel,it acts like staybil when bike sits for a wile. you can put it in your oil if you have water in it ,you can drain gas tank if there is a lot of water in it .i use it with every tank and never had a problem ...RICH

Exactly right...If the carb is that bad, Seafoam wont help. Pull it off the machine and hand clean it.
