I need some feedback from anybody running Aluminum Products (A-Arm) CV boot protectors.

anybody ever have any problems with them hitting while turning or them bottoming out.....anything at all?

I am basically looking for any problems I might run into before I order them for My '09 Honda Foreman TRX500FE and finding out later I wasted Good hard earned Money on something that don't allow my ATV to function proper.

I just received the skid guard, and if it fits like it looks they make some Rocking products, BUT it never hurts to ask a Few Questions, So if you know of any limitations please post them .....Before I order a set!

Thanks in advance guys!

here's a link of what I have in mind to buy

No problems so far. They do seem to fill up with mud but if you use a pressure washer for cleaning your bike it's really not an issue. I've had them for over a year now and would recommend them.

N\Hey Glide,

Not sure about AP, but I do know that some of the home fabbed stick guards will rub the inside of the rim. My riding bud fabbed some at his work and the rubbed until worn down.

I have been running their stuff since 99 and would not pay for anything else. The older stuff on my 99 Foreman is tough. The skid plate is full 1/4" thick. I've busted rocks in the river with it and can't bend it. Now my stick guards did slightly rub my stock wheels when turned and the suspension unloaded. No problems hitting the ITP wheels though. Now I just got a set for my Rancher and seems as though they have addressed this issue. New stick guards have a relief for plenty of wheel clearance. The new stuff is thinner but still tough and looks great. Best part is it bolts right up in just a few minutes. Now for cleaning the best thing I've found is to shut fuel off and run the carb dry. Then flip the thing up on it's rear end and blast everything out with a pressure washer. I"m confident you will be satisfied with any of their products.

Thanks for the input Drranger,

its kinda got me wondering about a few things, do you guyz ride in THICK mud a LOT or is their going to be a constant problem cleaning out these CV Covers, as thus far (most of our riding is trail riding we are not that much into mud its more sticks, small bushes and rocks).....something I guess I forgot to post when asking for feedback

although a lot of these trails can have miles upon miles of mud holes, most of it is like a slurry, but I guess if everything was simple it wouldn't be any fun!

I would welcome anything else that anyone might have to add
Again Thanks
Glide

I ride in a little bit of everything. But when ever I get a chance.....I'm heading for the mud. A lot of the guys I ride with have bigger bikes so I have to show them what the honda will do. A couple of times I've had to pull one of the Brute Forces back to to the trucks (sometimes he tears up the belt trying to force his way through the mud). The AP products are as good as advertised and you should enjoy them. I bought the standard version and later put the gorilla lift on. Haven't noticed any issues yet but really have not been out riding that much since the lift. If your planning on a lift, AP makes another version with more clearance at the wheel.

Thanks for the input MMorrison04,
We are not much for the heavy duty Mud stuff, We do more trail riding than anything as their are hundreds & hundreds of trails around here to ride..you can take off and be gone a month and never ride the same trail

so I don't think ill be putting a lift on it really no need in my eyes.....I just want something more than plastic and my engine and drive line to protect my investment!

Your welcome. I know what your talking about regarding the trail riding. Every year a group of us head down to Hatfield McCoy for some riding. The trails down there are pretty awsome and go on forever. Unfortunately we really don't have anything like that here in Virginia. We've encountered some good trails and stout rocks/terrain at Hatfield and the stick guards worked great. Can't wait to head back down there later this year. I hadn't planned on the lift but decide that I wanted one at the last minute. Hope you enjoy and good luck.
