I have used my foreman 500 during hunting season and it has ran great. I went with some freinds to go mud riding the other day and before we even got started my 4 wheeler acted like it had water in the carb. It would only idle with the choke on and would not rev up and after about 30 minutes it cleared up and ran fine all afternoon. I did try to drain the carb bowl but nothing would come out. Is it full of $h!? If I take the drain hose off and spray carb cleaner in it could it clear it up or am I going to end up taking the carb apart?

I have pretty much the same prob...mine starts up fine and as soon as I put her in gear to back up or go forward she starts to lose power or stall if I try to give more gas she dies unless I rev it hard...start her back up rev her a couple of times might die again...but once I get her going she is good to go! I think I need to clean the carb or my float is set wrong??? Not an carb guru by any means...take it as a chance to learn.

I would take the carb apart just to be safe and make sure it doesn't leave you sitting on the side of the trail.
