Is your bike carbed or F.I.? If its F.I., than Im not real sure what the issue is. If it is carbed, then I may know. I hunt in West Verginia for 13 yrs now. My 02 es, once in a while, going down a STEEP hill will spit and sputter. As soon as I get to level ground, it runs fine. I noticed this only happens when I have a half tank of gas or less. Your problem may be gas not getting to the carb on severe de-clines. Or the carb may need adjusting. The shifting issue may be a clutch adjustment, not too sure.
