I know I seen a 300 in action went through what our big bores couldnt! It has to be a weight thing though my bike with me on it weighs close to 1000# . A 300 gets stuck push it out! My bike gets stuck get two winches or dont even try!

Well what really woke my bike up was adding the homemade snorkle. i even drilled my own jet to get the right colour on the plug , (also barrel chambered the intake runners a little) as far as the snorkle goes i just used stock rubber grommet in through the air box and 2" abs fittings (had to snad/grind the O.D a bit to fit snuggley through the factory grommet).then wet/dry vac hose (no cutting of panels)under front rack attached to a couple 90 degree elbows ......and BINGO . there are many write ups in this forum ... but thats what worked for me ......good Luck.
