I recently bought a '09 foreman and now its time for my first oil change. The dealer is quoted to about $150 but I know i can do it for a lot cheaper. I just need help with finding out the model number for the oil filter so I can get NAPA to match it with another brand. So can anyone please tell me this number? Any help is appreciated.

We just had ours done today, we finally actually hit 20 hours haha. It's been a year or so. Either way, they do more than just an oil change for the 150. They are adjusting valves and a few other maintanence things that are outside of just an oil change.

is fram really recommended? i've always heard that they aren't worth running on anything...maybe 4wheelers are different for them.

IF you talk to the Honda dealer / parts folks they will tell you only genuine Honda brand products all the way.
I was just answering a question on aftermarket P/N for a oil filter as requested. So no... IF you asked the Honda dealer they would not recommend a Fram/ Wix/ K&N or any other brand filter. They are most likely all made in just one or two factories ( Mexico) and many brands are painted on the box as required. I usually run EMCO's I get off eBay in quanties of 12.

Wix filter #24944. Wix filters are good name brand filters. AutoValue has them for $4 and some cents.

Oh, definately. I know honda is going to request honda to be used. It's money in their pocket. I just have heard bad things all around about FRAM quality. I just wouldn't want someone dumping dirty oil all around when they could keep clean oil in their motor
