Recently i changed my oil in my o6 500 foreman 4x4. I bought 6 quarts of amsoil synthetic because the guy who sells it says my bike takes over 5 quarts, well when i drained it i knew that was not close, i opened the dipstick plug when i drained it and i changed the filter, i called a honda atv shop and they said over 5 quarts as well, i would like to hear from others who changed their oil and hear how much they had to use to fill it back up. Mine took about 2 and a half quarts after starting it up between checks, also has anyone else used a k&n oil filter, the one i used did not have what i think is a check valve on the motor side of the filter like the honda one i took out. opinion's welcome

On a true Foreman the oil capacity is about 2.5 Qts. The Rubicon takes a little over 5 Qts.

They both must be considered trx 500's and if that is true that's why there is confusion, why the dealer told me that after i specificly told him a foreman i can't figure. Thank you for your responses now about the k & n filter issue

yeah dad has a 07 rubi...we was shocked at how much of a oil difference there is . but, when u take a closer look the motors arent even the same. my foreman is 475 cc air cooled where dads rubi is 499 liquid cooled. im assuming that the additional oil the rubi takes is for the transmission?

Not to change the subject but I went to the dealer and asked for a oil filter for a my Foreman 500 and he gave me one for a rubicon I think cause it was way bigger. When I brought it back and told him its the wrong one
and want my money back because I found the right one at the autoparts store he kinda gave me a dirty look.
