Flooded 2015 Foreman

Hey Guys, first time posting. I recently bought a ins co flood total 2015 Foreman with PS and foot shift. It had been sitting since August after a freshwater flood. I replaced the battery and did a few oil changes and its running and driving great, but the display meter isn't working. The screen backlight and word "gear" are the only things that illuminate. I see the meters for sale on Ebay for about $100.00 but want to make sure I actually need the meter. How can I narrow down my issue? Thanks...

Did you try cleaning the connector for the display?

Sounds like you have a nice project there. For $100, I would just go ahead and change the display. Maybe even consider a new OEM display just to be sure the display itself has no issues.

No kidding, for $100, buy another display. If it doesn't work, resell it.

Hey Guys, so I did take out the display meter and it was pretty corroded. Local dealer sold me a new one for $99.00 and I'm all good now except for the oxy sensor code flashing. I guess I'll get a new sensor next. Bike runs and drives great. Thanks for the good advice.

I didn't give much thought about the original hours and miles going away with the original meter. I guess I'll never know what the original miles where.

Before replacing any more components I'd remove every electrical connection possible, check for corrosion, clean if necessary, and use dielectric grease on all of them. Cheers
