One of my kids left the key on on my bike for as long as it took to drain the battery completely down. It seems like the hours are higher now but I’m not sure. Does the clock tick even if the motor is off? Also, once I recharged battery, the change oil light came on?
Yes, I've done the same thing with mine. Racked up 27 hours just sitting in the garage
And as far as the change oil light goes, what year is yours? Not sure about previous models, but on mine '15 the change oil is set to go off every so many miles/hours. Leaving it on May have pushed you over that hour mark, like it did mine. But if you cycle through it will still give you an accurate countdown of how many miles you have until you need an oil change.
There's a way to reset the timer for the change oil light, but I can't remember how to do it. A quick search on here should give you that answer.
Yea I haven't ever understood why they do that, but I made sure to put the power to my amp on a toggle switch, just so I wouldn't have to have the key on to listen to it.
