2015 Forman/Rubicon PGM-FI

I got a 2015 Foreman (Rubicon) manual shift with EPS and have some issues.
The rev limiter kicks in way before what I would consider the “shift point” and the top speed is only 47 mph.
(according to this forum the 2012/13 Foreman went 57mph).

I took it back to the dealer, under warranty, and they said all was OK. They called Honda a few times and were finally told top speed was 45-50 mph.

Then I compared the parts lists for 2013 VS 2015.
The final, 5th gear, and diff. gear ratios are the same.
The bore and stroke are the same.
The piston and cylinder part numbers are even the same.
The main differences are the fuel injector, and PGM-FI Unit.
I think the issue is the rev limiter.

- Does anyone make “chips” or reprogram the PGM for these Hondas?
- Does anyone know if I can put the fuel injector and PGM from a 2013 in my 2015?
Thanks.

is an extra 10 mph really worth the hassle?
no one buys a foreman or a honda 4x4 really for speed LOL
rather well known there not super fast so?
I think you would have maybe been better off with a different brand sportier like atv ??(different brand )
Just saying NOT bashing
A honda is more utility than sport atv

I completely disagree mrbb. The Rubicon is awesome and handles the trails better than any other quad in its class.

SS, I am NOT saying it doesn't handle well, I am just saying its NOT known for being a speed demon, and I don't think most owners bought it with plans of running trails at 50 mph or more either??
I gather most are running mid 20-30's and very happy?
if he wants more, maybe a more sporty atv would have been a better get go??
hey I like speed too, but have toys made for speed, bought with speed in mind, NOT after buying and then wanting something for speed!
planned buying lets say
got smarter(a Little, just a little) as I got older LOL
