2003 Honda 450ES Shifting Problem

I have a 2003 Honda 450es. When I first start it in the morning, the "N" on the shift indicator panel is flashing and it will not shift. I can manully shift it and ride it until the engine gets warm, and turn it off and then turn it back on and it will start working. It may work good for a hour or so and start flashing again and will not shift. Does anyone know what my problem could be?

i would start with adjusting the clutch ,charging the battery and getting it checked out . after that clean and use dieletric grease on every electrical conection .....and see how it works

Probably batter getting weak. Check it out first.

If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough.
