Default Speedometer face is scratched can it be fixed??

I just picked up another 03 foreman 450 today for the smoking hot deal of $500 (doesn't run prolly needs new top end) The speedometer face is all scratched up or sun baked IDK but it's so bad you can see anything on it. Is there away to polish it out or is there just a different cover you can get for the outside of it?

Try headlight restorer. Worth a shot. 3M makes a good kit, it worked great on my headlights.

Rich, my pap tried that on his van, it honestly did nothing.
You know if you get a wet rag and wipe over glass how it looks all clear and pretty when its wet..... that restorer stuff is the same way. As soon as that very thin coating of liquid wears off (like rain-x) they are back to foggy. It lasted I think 10 minutes and they didnt clear up at all really.... I could have accomplished the same affect by throwing a bucket of water on them.
Now that was the stuff you rub on the outside, if Im not mistaken there is as company out there that makes something to go on the inside as well. But I havent seen it first hand.

That's the one I'm talking about. Uses progressively finer sandpaper then a polisher and compound. Works good for headlights, the ones on my truck were just about shot and they are like new now.

I tryed using some fine steel wool and alittle mothers aluminum polish and is seemed to help out on the smaller scratches.
