Default temp light

took it on a 12 mile ride it done good..the temp light came on stayed on bout 2 seconds if that long.why would it just blink on like that?

im not sure if my fan kicked on or not can i unhooh the fan and wire it to the battery to see if it works or not?

i read that the fan is sposed to kick on when the oil temp reaches 302 degrees is this right? i think ill check my fan control unit

what about a connecting a toggle switch on it to kick it on when i want to?

yup you can do that also
if you take the wire from the oil temp sensor (wire on the bottom of motor ) and ground it to the frame (with the key on ) the fan and light on dash should come on

Check your fan for any obstructions too...... The smallest stick will prevent it from spinning.... Those things have absolutely "0" tourque.

it spins free..im not sure if its working or not i dont think it got hot i didnt pay any attention if it kicked on or not.
