You are legal in Ontario to pull ball to ball(some places you must have 5th wheel trailer up front), as long as all the lights and brakes work you are good. Ive done this 3 times in the last 3 years and and no probs. We've been through ride programs twice and radar once we know of...never had to back up yet(whew) but we both have A,z lic and the 2nd trailer is small enough to unhook and spin around.
Im not in a position to say it is definitely legal, but I do see it all the time during the hunting season north of hwy 17. the hunters come in with big arse 35+ft camping trailers and a atv trailer behind that. all being towed behind a normal 3/4 ton pickup truck. I bet I see it 30 times a season or more.
if you really want to know, consider asking odot1 on this forum. http://www.freedomsledder.com/forums...showtopic=7938
he is an OPP officer that operates with the snowmobile and atv enforcement unit in ontario. he is very good about answer questions pertaining to the law. I hope Im not breaking any rules posting another forums link on here. this is his own personal thread that he set up for situations just like this.

Me and my buds had this argument,um .. talk. going on for 2 yrs. My one friend taught AZ lic. and he didnt think it was legal..he thought it had to be 5th wheel to ball (no ball to ball) but we found out from MTO (asking questions during MTO spot checks while working) that ball to ball is fine as long as all brakes and lights work. Do a search on Canadas worst drivers, another friend backed my story said he seen it on the show. If your from Ontario you should remember Super cop Cam Wolley(mite b spelt wong) he was the super trooper on the 400 series hwys.
