Default honda foreman 400 keeps cuttin out

will a honda foreman 400 run on a dead battery it will start on the pull but will only run for a few mins then die any help would be great

welcome to the forum from utah.

have you put a volt/amp meter on the battery. 1st place to start is charge or replace the battery. start it up to see if its putting out the voltage you need. if not, it could need a new stator or rectifier

i agree get a new battery in there and see how its charging . do the easy stuff 1st

thanks for the reply the battery is fried have a new one ordered plus a new rectifier only had the starter checked the other day it's ok only have the quad 2 years an it has went threw 3 batterys so for plus one rectifer is this a common fault with these bikes
