Default Swing arm stuck

I have the rear end of my wheeler torn down to just the swing arm assembly and when i put it in my truck, i placed the front end up on jacks and let the back rest on the swing arm...now I have the whole thing back up on jacks and the swing arm wont come back down to where it needs to be. Any ideas on what happened? I tried to push it down but it won't budge. It goes up a little bit but won't come all the way down as far as it was originally when i took the rear diff off. Nothing looks bent and I dont think the weight of the rear end with nothing on it could have bent anything. Help!

Drive shaft still in the housing? If so it probably slid off the output shaft on the motor and the knuckle is jambed not letting it come down.

i agree with toodeep. sounds like you've got to remove the swingarm or motor to fix this mishap

Yes, the drive shaft that goes from the knuckle through the swing arm to the rear diff is out. Guess I should start by taking the boot off the knuckle area to see what the deal is with it. Could I just remove the swing arm and try to pull or push the knuckle back in place?

You should be able to pull the boot back far enough to slide it back on.
