i would do a compreson test ....ill bet its low
I'm going to wait till tomorrow to get it up to running temp and see if topping off the oil cures the problem. I don't have the tools to run a compression test but if the problem still exists then I will go get the stuff to do one.

Also is this breather tube suppose to be pushing out air through it? There is a steady amount of air coming out of it at idle and full throttle, just wondering if this is normal.

its normal to have a stream of air coming thru the breather.

i'm betting the rings are bad and its getting blow-bye pass the piston

This time of year it's pretty common to get and oil/water looking fluid out of the breather. As the motor warms up it's evaporating the moisture in the motor (either from frost or just a really cold motor) and of course it is going to end up at the breather tube.

On my 96 foreman 400, the crankcase breather line just went down to the swing-arm. it doesn't have a spot for it to go into the air-box. and when i had it snorkeled it would also make a gurgling sound. (i had it ran up along the snorkle)
