Default 02 honda foreman ques

i checked my oil couple days ago and noticed it was low and i added some to it and checked the dipstick and it was fine well the other day i opened my air box to check it out an noticed there was oil in the bottom of it so i took off my air filter and under the air filter there is another tiny filter for sumthing and that is were the oil was coming from i followed the hose and it came from the top of my engine i drained it and cleaned it out and no more oil but just wonder wat happened i cant find it on the service manual anyone know??

the hose is your crankcase vent
as preasure builds up in the crankcase and the air gets pushed up to the air box .
if you have oil in your air box you eather over filled the crankcase or it has a cracked compresion ring on the piston (a cracked ring lets air blow by the piston and pushes the oil the only way out ...into the air box)

well i think i over filled cuz it happened once and i cleaned it all out and no more oil.. cuz if it was a o-ring it would keep happening right??

not a o-ring a piston ring..... but yea i think you over filled it . just keep a eye on the oil and the air box .i think it only holds 2.3qts

2.1 with oil filter change 2.0 without lol thx for the hlp ive been checking the last couple days and nothing but thx again and if i need help again i now were to come.
