Hondo

I tore down my starter today and the piece of plastic the hot wire post goes through crumbled in my hand.
Does anyone have an idea of what you can use for this since it's a non service item. It seems like the majority of these starters I've torn down either have this problem or they are broken.
Worst thing is it turned out the rectifier has a short in it and the starter brushes where only half worn out.
