Default Rough Transition When Shifting Gears.

I just purchased a 97 Honda Foreman the other day and I don't have really any experience with these utility atv's. I noticed when i'm shifting into different gears it seems like it wants to jump. In otherwords it's not a very smooth transition. Someone told me that it was normal and it very well could but I wanted to get someother people's opion on it. Does anyone else experience this? Thanks

Try adjusting the clutch free play and see if that helps. Also, make sure it's not idling too high.

Welcome to the forum Trey. Adjust the clutch and make sure it's not idling too high.

Thanks for the detailed info on the cluch adjustment. Do you by chance know which way im suppose to turn the screw to soften the transition? Is there any other adjustments for the cluch or is that it. Thanks
