I found a guy parting out a 450 and bought alot of parts from him. The only thing you have to do to the 450 rear shocks is grind the mounts because they are too wide to fit in the 400 swingarm. The ride is a little stiffer than the 400 shocks which are way to soft imo. Yes the shocks are on ebay all the time. Just gotta look for them.

Anyone know the difference between 02-04 lift and 98-01? Older one is $80 on ebay while newer is only $30

ssatv lifts, are the most common, because they are the cheapest. If it is such high quality, why its it the cheapest?

Because unlike highlifter, SSATV is a less popular company looking to get out in the market with cheap quality products, you gotta start somewhere. Just like anything else until it catches on in todays market its going to be a cheaper product but when they realize "hey we got something here" the price will more than likely change. Its like the "colt AR15 chalange" bushmaster has beat them out in quite a few matches but why is bushmaster still the cheaper gun? Because Colt has its roots planted, you're buying a name.

I agree 100% with ya h22. Price, in most cases, does not truly represent quality. Just because it cost more doesn't mean it is better.

I have said it on here before, hl lift kits are way over priced.

As for me, buying gorilla, maybe I did pay for a name, but until signing up for this forum, I had never heard of ssatv. I guess it just depends on what part of the country you are in as to which products are best because of popularity.

Yep I hear ya there. I like the gorilla and I love the rear lift in their kit. I was looking at those and doint my research on them...... and poof it brought me to hondaforeman.com haha. But yea like you said price in most casses doesnt not reflect quality. The gorilla lift is a good bit more in price but IMO you get what you pay for there because it is a very stylish lift. I just went for the function over fashion for once in my life,..... well that and the SS was cheaper .
