I would like to snorkle my 95 400 (as there has been large ammounts of rain= holes full of water+MUD) and i would like to in the style below

But as the intake hole is on the other side to the 500, is it likely that the pipe will melt as it is close to the exaust, do i cut another hole on the other side? whats the best method

I dont want to do too much cutting etc so thats why i like the style above.
