We have just gotten a bike from a friend and there is no spark, we put the multimeter on the ends of the coil and no reading, it turns over. The guy we got it from tryed three CDI boxes and we noticed the regulator was un bolted from the back.
try a new voltage regulator... I know when I lost spark that's what it was... from what I have seen on this forum the cheap aftermarket ones either fail early or don't work from the get go... I personally have a Carlisle aftermarket one on my and the only issue iv had was ripping it off in the mud just a heads up if you do buy the Carlisle one like I did the OEM bolts are not long enough for it so a home depot trip will be in store
